I define Pilates and MELT as therapy for your best life! Whether you’re a dancer looking for greater control (as I was initially), an adult rehabilitating an injury/surgery site like my husband, looking to sleep better, get out of pain or fear, or move and feel better and experience more enjoyment from life, my classes will help you!

I remember in my early years as an undergraduate student, the methods changed my body leaving me feeling refreshed and strong and more importantly provided a brain-body connection allowing for greater control and support throughout every facet of life. I focus on sharing this awareness via my invested instruction while listening to my client’s bodies and empowering them to take passionate ownership over their health.

MELT Method

The MELT Method® (MELT®) is a simple self-treatment designed to help you stay healthy, youthful, and active for a lifetime. Just 10 minutes of MELT three times a week is all you need to reduce the effects of accumulated tension and stress caused by daily living. This full-body method of self-care can be customized to your particular needs – from improving performance and decreasing the risk of repetitive stress injuries to eliminating chronic pain, regardless of what’s causing your pain in the first place.

How MELT Works

MELT employs the use of gentle tools for the goals of fascial tissue remodeling, pain relief, and performance improvement. However, the application and compression-quality of the specialized MELT balls and rollers have unique feel and objectives, primarily that of non-traumatizing, indirect, active and passive, light-touch techniques to help regulate sympathetic to parasympathetic tone, improve heart rate variability (HRV), and fine-tune motor control.

When Joseph Pilates originated the method, his goal was mental and physical harmony: the realization of each person’s physical capabilities and the correction of imbalances and weaknesses. 

Pilates is an innovative system of mind-body exercise using a floor mat or a variety of equipment. It evolved from the principles of Joseph Pilates and can dramatically transform the way your body looks, feels and performs. Pilates builds strength without excess bulk. It teaches body awareness, good posture and easy, graceful movement. LAGREE FITNESS

Lagree Fitness is one of the fastest growing and hottest workouts in the fitness industry. The method, created by master teacher and Megaformer inventor, Sebastien Lagree, is a multi-faceted workout that combines resistance training and cardio into one comprehensive, balanced system to strengthen, tighten and tone the body. Balance is created by applying equal focus to all elements of exercise and never prioritizing one facet over another. Form is paramount and should always prevail over intensity. varying degrees of spring-based tension allow the Lagree Method to adjust to the client during use.
