Rachel Bell Carpenter is a nationally recognized wellness professional with a deep passion for movement, recovery and wellness. A San Diego native with a BFA in Dance Performance from UC Irvine, she has performed with the Metropolitan Opera, toured nationally with Dirty Dancing, and appeared in the STARZ miniseries Flesh & Bone.

In parallel with her performance career, Rachel has cultivated a robust background in wellness and somatic education. She is a national award-winning Pilates instructor and currently serves on the dance faculty at Christopher Newport University in Newport News, VA. Her certifications include MELT Hands & Feet, MELT Levels 1, 2 & 3, Comprehensive Pilates (500hr), pre/postnatal Pilates, Pilates for neurological conditions, TRX, Power Plate, Lagree Fitness, and Barre. Rachel was a top five finalist in the 2020 MELT Method Zoom Instructor Competition and a top ten finalist in the 2018 Pilates Anytime Instructor Competition.

Rachel is passionate about sharing restorative and science-informed movement practices with students of all levels, empowering them to move well, live well, and feel more connected in their bodies.
